Since 1980, voters have approved this once-every-six-years measure. The current Levy will expire on December 31, 2016. The levy remains the same. Property is assessed at 50 cents per $1000 of value. In other words, $50 per year for a $100,000 home.

Spokane is one of the busiest fire departments in the state, yet has managed to keep its fire department costs very low compared to other cities. As the number of emergency calls continues to rise, Spokane's firefighters try hard to do the best with what they have. Having an appropriately staffed fire department pays off, not only in public safey, but also keeps your homeowners insurance rates from escalating.

This April, your Spokane firefighters and Spokane's citizens ask you to please vote "YES" to continue the EMS Levy and maintain the same level of service. Thank you!
